2025 National Bargaining Updates

What Is National Bargaining?

The Alliance of Health Care Unions (AHCU) is a coalition of 23 local unions representing over 60,000 Kaiser Permanente employees. Founded in 2018, the Alliance is deeply committed to improving patient care, enhancing workplace conditions, and ensuring KP remains the best place to work in healthcare.

National Bargaining is the coordinated negotiation process between the Alliance and Kaiser Permanente that results in the Alliance National Agreement—a contract that covers wages, benefits, staffing protections, and partnership standards across all Alliance-represented regions.

The current agreement, ratified in 2021, is the product of this collaborative bargaining effort under the Labor Management Partnership model.

USW Local 7600 is a full participant in National Bargaining and has a seat at the table to advocate for the interests of our Southern California members.
