Voting and Informational meetings began Sunday, November 28, 2021, at the Steelworkers Auditorium and for the first time, we hosted informational meetings/voting in multiple areas spanning from Victorville to Murrieta, Riverside to Palm Springs.

Today, December 3, 2021, we returned to the Steelworker Auditorium in Fontana, CA, and hosted our last round of informational meetings and voting. At 5:00 P.M., voting ended and we began counting the ballots.

The members of USW Local 7600, overwhelmingly ratified our Local and National tentative agreements by a 95% YES vote!

You made it clear that we were not going to accept 2-tier wages for new hires, that we needed progress on WAGE JUSTICE in the IE, and that we deserved more than 1%.

In response, we joined together like never before, in unity and solidarity, and showed the world that we were willing to do whatever it took to get a fair contract.

When negotiations get tough our goal is to reach an agreement without a strike. But that depends on our employer, so it’s important to plan ahead and prepare ourselves.
