Important PSP Notice

In Southern California, KP has made a disturbing decision to inform the Alliance and USW Local 7600 leadership of its intent to reduce the PSP payout by 43%. Once notified, we immediately engaged in a dispute with KP leaders calling on them to give the PSP amount that is reflective of the work our members have put forth. This unilateral action, to reduce the PSP, is a clear violation of our contract and is absolutely unacceptable.

We have fulfilled our end of the bargain, and Kaiser owes us what we deserve. In recent discussions, the SCAL Alliance Unions have continued to demand that KP honor the agreement as intended and for them to Wage Up, Staff Up, and Partner Up! Failing to do so will leave our members feeling insulted, angry, and increasingly skeptical of KP's commitment to its promises and contractual obligations.

Kaiser is now on notice and without an immediate change of course we will be forced to take action. On the March 8th paycheck, SCAL Alliance members are set to receive 57% of the PSP payout.

In the coming days, we will provide further updates about the PSP, including amounts, and any further escalation.

What you can do to help

In the meantime, if you haven't already, please ensure you sign the demand letter to let KP know that we stand united and are demanding them to Wage Up, Staff Up, and Partner Up!
