The Kaiser Permanente Southern California Region is experiencing a high Urgent Care and Emergency Department patient census resulting in an increased demand for staffing as a result of COVID-19 impacts. Faced with this challenge, Southern California Permanente Medical Group (“SCPMG”) leadership and USW 7600 agreed to temporarily offer an "Extra Shift Incentive" to induce employees in the following Licensed Vocational Nurse and Medical Assistant classifications to work extra “message management” shifts in departments under SCPMG as specifically listed below:

Faced with this challenge, Kaiser Foundation Hospital ("KFH") leadership and USW- 7600 agreed to temporarily offer an "Extra Shift Incentive" to induce employees in the following specified SCPMG classifications to work extra shifts under SCPMG in the Urgent Care and Emergency Departments as specifically listed below:

Faced with this challenge, Kaiser Foundation Hospital ("KFH") leadership and USW- 7600 agreed to temporarily offer an "Extra Shift Incentive" to induce employees in the following specified SCPMG and KFH classifications to work extra shifts under SCPMG/KFH as specifically listed below:

The EVS department at the Kaiser Permanente, Ontario hospital is offering overtime for all shifts, every day, until further notice.

Extra shifts are available to all USW Local 7600 members, from any location. (Note, that the graveyard shift is in dire need)

ACTION: Submit your request for time off as soon as possible. If you are scheduled to work, you may be able to arrange with your manager, supervisor or management co-lead to use Flex Time. If you are NOT scheduled to work, this is not paid time.

The monthly membership meeting will not be held at the USW Local 7600 union hall. Instead, we are having the meeting at the Steelworker auditorium which is around the corner. The Steelworker auditorium is a bigger venue and is needed for COVID precautions. Thank you for understanding.
