National Bargaining Update – Historic Wage Proposal & Early Wins

National Bargaining has officially begun, and your Alliance bargaining team came ready. Over 150 union leaders met with Kaiser Permanente and presented strong proposals that address years of wage stagnation, staffing challenges, and future technology concerns.

Key Highlights:

  • Proposed wage increases: 15% in 2025, followed by 8%, 8%, and 7% over a 4-year contract
  • Proposal to bring 9,000 union jobs back in-house to improve care and job security
  • Four early Tentative Agreements reached on retiree medical and pension benefits
  • Focus on staffing enforcement, AI and tech oversight, and increased education funding
