Local Bargaining Update – We’re Not Done Yet - July 2025
USW Local 7600 Bargaining Update

We Heard You – Stay Connected, Stay Informed
While we’ve seen promising signs at the national bargaining table, local bargaining for USW 7600 continues at a slower pace. After 14 sessions, over 30 union proposals, and the tireless efforts of two subgroups (Alternative Work Schedules and the Job Evaluation Committee), only a few agreements have been reached—and too many union proposals remain unanswered. Management continues to show little urgency and has introduced proposals that signal minor takeaways under the justification of “efficiencies and attendance.”
Still, your Local Bargaining Committee remains energized and committed! To date, we have a tentative agreement on the recognition of shift trades and resolved a dispute regarding the accrual of education leave hours. These wins are just the beginning. We know that Kaiser doesn’t give us anything we don’t fight for — and that means we need you plugged in and standing with your union.
