USW Local 7600 Bargaining Update

Note: This is a Local Bargaining Update. National Bargaining updates will be shared separately.

We’re pleased to share a brief update on our most recent bargaining sessions with Kaiser on July 21 and 22. Here's what you need to know:

1. Two Tentative Agreements Reached

We reached two new tentative agreements during these session. These represent important steps forward in protecting and improving our working conditions. Details will be shared once all agreements are finalized.

2. Full Responses from Kaiser

Kaiser has now provided responses to all of our outstanding proposals. This allows us to more clearly assess their position and continue pushing forward on key issues.

3. Productive Discussion on Priorities

We engaged in constructive dialogue with Kaiser about our top priorities, including but not limited to shift differentials, preceptor pay, alternative work schedules, and on-call availability policies, among others. While there is still work to be done, the tone of the discussions was collaborative and focused.

We remain committed to securing a strong contract that reflects your value and dedication. Thank you for your continued support—your unity strengthens our voice at the table.
