Recertification Period for Health Care Provider Cards Expires Soon

In response to COVID-19 in March 2020, the American Heart Association (AHA) issued a 120-day recertification extension for Health Care Provider Cards due to expire between March through June of this year. Last month, the AHA issued an extension for cards due to expire in July and August, to no later than October.

Physicians and health care workers with expired or expiring cards must recertify by the correct deadline. There will be no further extensionsAdditionally, there will be no extension for cards due to expire from September 2020 onwards, and recertification will be due by the date on the card.
